Karan Johar’s ‘Agneepath’ to cure father’s agony; Priyanka dons role of prostitute

Karan Johar’s Agneepath is an endeavor to cure his father’s agony. The remake of 1990’s block buster hit by Mukul Anand, “Agneepath” is out to be the next mega project by Karan Johar. Karan is all excited to make it the best shot in his career. Bollywood super hero, Hrithik Roshan and Piggy Chops will play the lead roles in the film.

One of the noted attractions of the film is that Priyanka Chopra is going to don the role of a sex worker named Kaali. She was earlier decided on, to play the nurse’s character which has now switched over to a harlot’s call.

Karan Johar has already disclosed his dream of trying by all means to make his “Agneepath” a commercial hit. The original version which had won a national award for Amitabh Bachchan was a project by his father, Yash Chopra, with their Dharma productions, which was a box office flop. He confesses that his father could never retrieve from the mental setback that was an upshot of the commercially tanked “Agneepath” throughout his lifetime. Therefore, this time, even if the movie can’t turn out to be as illustrious as its original version in terms of honours and accolades, Karan is all the more tuned to attach the hit tag with the title of this remake film. “It’s my dream, my endeavor”, he says.

Hrithik Roshan is playing the role of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan, the stunning macho role earlier played by the legendary actor, Amitabh Bachchan. With fingers crossed, it’s up to us to watch whether Karan’s “Agneepath” is going to relieve Yash Chopra’s agony or worsen it all the more!
