Jose Thettayil, the minister or Jose Thettayil, the conductor in the Malayalam movie
Jose Thettayil the minister turns Jose Thettayil the conductor in the Malayalam movie ‘Kaana Kombath’. “A good artist can only become a good politician” says Jose Thettayil, the Road Transport Minister of Kerala who is planning his acting debut as a bus conductor, in a Malayalam movie named ‘Kaana Kombath’ (On the unseen/high branch).
The movie is directed by Mahadevan who is a new comer in the industry. As per Mahadevan, the minister has an amazing talent in acting and has never asked for a trial or rehearsal for any of his shots in the movie. Jose Thettayil is doing the role of a bus conductor who will be in a few scenes in the movie.
Another peculiarity of the movie is that its screen play is from Madhu Muttam, who penned the screen play of the evergreen hit in Malayalam, ‘Manichithrathazhu’, and who is hitting back after a long break. Other actors include Vinod Krishnan, Shankar Narayanan and Deepu Santh. Deepu is the brother of cricketer Sreesanth.
The producer of the movie is Dr. Leena Prasanna. Songs will be composed by Mohan Sithara.
Jose Thettayil is not the first minister from Kerala to act in movies. In this regard, he is a follower of former congress ministers M.K Muneer, who is also a singer and K.B Ganesh Kumar, who is already a veteran actor.
Even being a newcomer, Jose Thettayil the Janata Dal member of the state cabinet, is not all tensed with his debut performance. He looks like an experienced and confident artist in the shooting locations of ‘Kaana Kombath’ at Kottayam.
