Mohanlal as Pisharody in Vadakkumnathan
Mohanlal is all set to enact the role of Bharatha Pisharody, a Sanskrit professor in Shajun Karol's Vadakkumnathan. The actor as set off to Himalayas for the shooting of the film which is expected to start soon.

Mohanlal is excited about the film and said only rarely you get roles like this. The professor is on a mystic journey to find answers to certain issues in the film. The heroine of the film is Meera Jasmine. This is the first time Meera is acting opposite Mohanlal.

Girish Puthencherry pens script for the film. Six songs composed by Raveendran have a classical touch and are sung by Yesudas, Biju Naryanan, M G Sreekumar and Radhika.

The film is produced by Govindan Kutty. Mohanlal will be in Haridwar for a four day shoot schedule. The film will be shot on the banks of the Ganges and on the Himalayas.

The film also has Jayaram, Biju Menon, Jagathy and many others.
