Pattanathil Sundaran

Vipin Mohan is one of those professional cameramen who believe that cinema as a medium is in the hands of a director and it is all about good story telling and not doing gimmicks with camera angles. He has been the regular cameraman for veteran director Satyan Anthikkad for nearly two decades. Their combination has worked because they believe in simple, straightforward storytelling with a sense of humour.

Now Vipin is making his debut as a director with current flavour Dileep and Navya Nair in the lead with Pattanathil Sundaran. The story is about Kizhekkadathil Sundaresan (Dileep) a ration shop owner who marries a girl Radhamani (Navya) who is more qualified than him. After marriage when Radhamani gets a government job as a clerk in the state secretariat, Sundaresan ego is hurt! The fun begins as Sundaresan is forced to accompany his wife to Thiruvananthapuram. While she works he has to stay at home.

M. Sindhuraj has written the script which was cleared by Vipin's mentor Satyan who along with Kaithapuram has written the lyrics of the five songs tuned by Mohan Sitara. The laugh riot also has Jagathy, Augustine, Haneefa, Kaviyoor Ponnamma and Sona Nair. The film is produced by Liberty Basheer and is likely to be Dileeps Christmas release.
