pokenPoken is the digital version of a business card and holder which is gaining momentum in the world of social networking. Poken is a small handheld digital device, about the size of your regular flash drive that comes with a plastic head and arm which can be pulled apart for activation. The digital device helps to upload information and contact details directly into social networking sites as well as email platforms.

Once activated, the red LED of digital device Poken glows and your device can be held 0.5 inches apart from the Poken of the contact person whose digital details need to be attained. Once data exchange has been completed, the LED will glow green to indicate success. The Poken digital devices will mutually exchange information which will be stored in each device’s memory.

Effectively eliminating the need of a tangible business card holder, Poken digital device can hold up to 120 contacts inclusive of their names, numbers, email ids and URLs. The digital device need only be plugged into the USB port of the computer, and the download is initiated by going to the company’s website. Your customized digital address book account on Poken will sync and update its content each time Poken is ‘poked’ into the USB port. This information in turn, can be used to auto update your social networking and email sites.

Currently Poken’s products include pokenSPARK, pokenPULSE, pokenHUB and other limited edition digital devices. In India Poken and Poken Plus are the two variants. Poken is available in India for Rupess 1500 onwards.
