Easy to make recipe: Chinese Pork Dumplings

One of the most important recipes of Chinese New Year, this is a wholesome meal that is usually made through team work. Traditionally, an entire family’s members take part in its making. So invite your friends and family over, and start cooking!

The ingredients required for making dumplings are:chinese pork dumplings

Flour 1 ¼ cup
Powdered sugar 1 ¼ cup
Baking powder 1 tspn
Butter 2 tspn
Vinegar 1 tspn

Filling:

Cooked Pork 1 cup
Soya sauce 1 tbspn
Sprouted onion 1 tbspn (chopped)

Mix baking powder, flour and sugar. Later put some butter, vinegar and some water to make dough. Mix all the ingredients for filling. Separate the dough and filling into equal little chunks. Pat the small dough portions in the palm in the thinnest manner. Put some filling into one corner of the little dough portion and fold it into a semi circle. Then seal the edges. Like this, each dumpling should be wrapped up in a wax paper and cooked well.

Dumplings are best served with hot and sour sauce and wrapped in wax papers.
