To cook thisSimple coconut Shrimp , you will need:
Shrimp(chemmeen): 2 pounds
Flour: 1 cup
Sugar: 1/2 tsp
Salt: 1/2 tsp
Egg: 1 beaten
Water: 1 cup
Vegetable oil: 2 tbs
grated coconut: 2/3 cup
Curry powder: 1 1/2 tsp
How to prepare
Shell and devein the shrimp leaving the tail portion
Combine the flour, sugar, salt, water, egg and vegetable oil together in a bowl to form a smooth batter.
In another bowl mix the coconut and curry powder.
Dip the shrimp in the batter and then in the coconut mixture.
Microwave at 370 degree.
Simple Coconut Shrimp is ready to serve.

Now lets start off with the cooking:
First things first, wash the rice 3-4 times with fresh water. Now, soak it in water for an hour. Then drain off all the water.
Chop the onions and potatoes in small pieces, separately.
In the oil, fry onions until they become slight golden colour, then add the cloves, cinnamon and cardamom to it. After 3 minutes, add the peas and potatoes with some water.
Cook, till potatoes are half-ccoked and then add the earlier rice. Put salt and the red chilli powder and mix thoroughly.
To this, add 2 cups of water and let it boil. Then decrease the flame of the stove and cook till the rice is soft enough.
