Easy desi chilli chicken
Ingredients:
Sliced and cubed chicken (0.5 kg),
Jeera (cumin), coriander powders (1 tsp each),
Kasthuri methi powder,
asafetida,
ginger (an inch piece) and garlic (15 cloves),
slit green chillies (5-10), oil (2tbsp)
Preparation:
Heat oil in non stick pan and add jeera. Let it crackle. Add a pinch of asafoetida. Add the chicken and toss. Use a
wooden spoon to toss. Add salt for taste.
Fry till the chicken and oil separate then add the green chili and ginger-garlic. Fry for ten minutes.
Add the kasuri methi. Ready after 10 more minutes. Garnish with coriander. Serve with rice and dal. If you have somesoya sauce handy, put a teaspoon into the curry and mix well before serving.
