Bachelor’s recipe: Easy Vegetable Pulao

Here’s an easy to make Vegetable Pulao that you can impress your friends and family with. This tasty and healthy veg pulao cooks easily and makes a perfect main course at a dinner party you are inviting your boss to!

To cook this Pulao, you will need:

Rice (1cup),
Water (2cups),
Cauliflower (200gm florets),
Potato (2small ones),
Green peas (1/2 cup),
Onion (1 large) ,
Cardamoms (4 black),
Red chilli Powder (1/2 tsp)
Cinnamon (1” stick),
Cloves (4),
Oil (4 tbsp),
Salt (1 tsp)

Now lets start off with the cooking:

First things first, wash the rice 3-4 times with fresh water. Now, soak it in water for an hour. Then drain off all the water.
Chop the onions and potatoes in small pieces, separately.

In the oil, fry onions until they become slight golden colour, then add the cloves, cinnamon and cardamom to it. After 3 minutes, add the peas and potatoes with some water.

Cook, till potatoes are half-ccoked and then add the earlier rice. Put salt and the red chilli powder and mix thoroughly.
To this, add 2 cups of water and let it boil. Then decrease the flame of the stove and cook till the rice is soft enough.
