Paul Zachariah was born at Urulikunnam, Meenachil  Taluk, on 5 June 1945, as the youngest son of  Mundattuchundayil Kunjachan and Teresakutty.

Education

He completed his primary education from Sree  Dayananda Primary School,  Urulikunnam and from St. Joseph English School, Vilakkumadam.

Pre-University: St.Thomas College, 1961-3
Degree: St.Philominas College, 1963-6
MA in English Language and Literature, 1966-8

Career

After completing his Masters Degree he joined Kanjirapally, St. Dominic College  and started his career as English Lecturer, and later moved to MES College,  Bangalore.

In 1973, he moved to Affiliated East-West Press in Delhi and worked as Publicity Officer. Then in 1975, he joined All India Management Association in 1975 as  Information officer.

After working there till 1982, he returned home, to concentrate on farming activities. It went on for six years, from 1982 to 1988.

Again, he returned to his favorite destination Delhi, to actively pursue his career as a journalist. From 1988 to 1991 he worked with Press Trust of India. Later he joined Asianet, as a consultant, soon after its inception in   1992. As a consultant  he also worked with India Today.

He is married to Lalitha. Ammu and Abhijith, his daughter and son, completes the family picture.
