PROFILE
Dr.
TC Chandran is an industrial adviser based in Malaysia. A Mechanical
Engineer by profession, he always worked for the betterment of those
around him through his various inventions. Always fascinated by
the applications of renewable energy sources, he was instrumental
in setting up of several such projects in Gujarat, where he worked
for almost 16 years.
Presently
based in Malaysia and a citizen there, he occupies a prominent place
among the several thousand Indians living in Malaysia. He is now
fully involved with the Data Energy SDN. BHD, in Malaysia.
One
of the most successful Malayalees abroad, he went to Germany during
the early part of seventies to do post-graduation. After working
there for sometime, he moved to India to bestow to his country,
what he has learned and acquired. His experience at Astrastahl,
in Germany, stood in good stead for his future endeavours.
He
has implemented several engineering projects related to food, dairy
products, bakeries, energy related projects, including renewable
energy, environmental projects involving recovery and treatment
of waste water.
Through
his projects, he tried to provide clean and safe drinking water
and sanitation to remote villages. He also tried to help industries
reduce their cost of operation and improve productivity apart from
helping the local industries to achieve import substitution by developing
local technology.
He
has wide experience in designing, installing and commissioning dairy
factories, food factories including snacks, baby food, weaning food,
chocolate, extruded food, and bakeries.
He
has extensive experience in project management in Malaysia, Singapore,
India, and China. The design, installation and commissioning of
the first large scale Biogas plant in Anand, India was done by him
and was specially mentioned in Rolex Award for Enterprise. He has
worked as Technical Director, General Manager, Vice President (Manufacturing),
and Vice President (Logistics) in several multinational companies.
Even
after establishing his own company, he did not deviate from the
set principles and had always tried to improve the lot of those
around him.
