Polly Mathew Arampankudy hails from a family with an agrarian background. He was born at Nadukani, near Kothamangalam in Ernakulam on September 30, 1949, as the third son of AJ Mathew and Bridget Mathew.

Polly began his primary studies at the local school in Nadukani, attended the Kothamangalam High School for Middle School, and completed his schooling from Keerampara High School.

At the university level, he studied at Mar Athenatious College, Kothamangalam, where he cultivated close association with politics. After completing his studies, he started a business in Kerala and was occupied with its activities for almost 2 years.

In 1979, he went to Germany and worked there for six years before turning to business. He owned two supermarkets in Germany before taking plunge into the Ayurvedic resort tourism, popularly known as Health Tourism.

He is married to Tresa, a teacher by profession and has three children, James Mathew, Jimson Mathew, and Johns.

James is a final year MBA student at the Cologne University in Germany and his brother, Jimson, is an MBA student (1st year). The third son, Johns, is studying in the eighth standard.

Polly has left an indelible mark in the business world of Kerala. From his childhood days in Kerala to the establishment of Business in Germany, he proved himself Industrious, studious and intelligent.

While raising the profile of his professional endeavors, he has raked in the rewards of his unconventional approach.
