Dr. MV Pillai considers a doctor to
be the best projection of Humanity. He wants to be known as a good
doctor; a doctor with good perception qualities; a doctor who is
interested in friendly conversations and also as a good writer.
He is more committed
to the world of medicine than to the world of words. In his opinion
he would rather be a first rate physician and a fourth rate poet
than a first rate poet and a fourth rate physician.
A devoted music lover,
he keeps abreast of the latest happenings of Kerala. Regular subscription
to Malayalam publications keeps him updated about his homeland.
Renowned for his public speaking abilities, he is regular speaker
at the Malayalee conventions held abroad. He has elevated it to
an art. But he refuses to acknowledge it saying that art requires
100 per cent accuracy and dedication, which he fails to do.
A well-travelled personality,
he is of the opinion that "one should work hard and travel
as much as possible; spending own money". His commitment to
serve the humanity is projected in the following words, "Help
as much as you can, do not expect anything in return".
Every year, he journeys
back to Kerala and provides free service to patients. He rates Kerala
as one of the best place where good cancer facilities are available.
He plans to write a book about cancer in Malayalam.
He considers his vast
friends' circle as his greatest asset.
