Theatre
is Murali’s first love. He entered the dramatic field in his
early years. His love for theatre can be seen through his performance
in the masterly role of Ravana in CN Sreekantan Nair’s “Lanka
Lakshmi”.
He was an actor
and theatre activist in ‘Natyagriha’ an experimental
theatre group in Kerala and acted in ‘Mazha’, 'Souparnika',
'Velliazhcha' by Narendra Prasad and in ‘Zoo story’
by Edward Albee.
Vijayalekshmi,
a renowned Malayalam poetess and wife of well acclaimed poet Balachandran
Chullikkadu was so much fascinated by the acting of Murali, that
she wrote a poem based on it named “Shri Ravanan”.
