Born to Melethreyil Raman Nair-Kuttiyamma couple at Kadamanitta
village in Pathanamthitta District on 22nd March 1935, Kadamanitta
was exposed to the temple rituals and it's paraphernalia, which
left an indelible mark on his young mind.
After
completing graduation, he left for Calcutta, but through quirk
of fate, he landed in Madras. In 1959, he got a job in postal
audit and accounts office in Madras. From 1967 onwards, he was
working at Thiruvananthapuram. He got retired from service in
1992.
He
also served as the president of State Literacy Council. In 1996,
he was elected to Kerala Assembly from Aranmula.
He
published his first poetry 'Gjan' in 1965, and till-date he has
produced about 75 poetic works.
