Born on 26th August 1948 at Kudassanad, near Pandalam town of Pathanamthitta District of Kerala State, John is the only son of (Late) Mathew George and (Late) Saramma George of Panackel family. He has two sisters, Annamma Eashow and Elsy Luke. Mr. Panackal is now settled in Pandalam, Pathanamthitta Dist
John showed extra ordinary learning ability during his school days and passed his S.S.L.C. Examination in 1964 with 6th rank in the state. He completed his pre-degree course at Pandalam N.S.S. College and joined for B.Sc. at Catholicate College Pathanamthitta with Chemistry as the main subject. He developed his artistic and oratory talents there and became Arts secretary of the college. He did his M.Sc in Chemistry specialized in Organic Chemistry in Kanpur University and passed the M.Sc with first class in 1972. Later in 1992, he took M.B.A from East Texas University, U.S.A.
The
younger Silas John is a 12th standard student of CBSE at MES Indian
School, Doha, Qatar. John’s wife, Lalu is an accountant at
National Travel Bureau, Doha.

JOHN
PANACKEL is an outstanding Malayalee personality in the Middle East.
His contributions in the professional and social areas are commendable
and imitable. 
He
got married in 1978 to Mary John (Lalu). They have two children.
The eldest, Sharon John Panackel, is a 3rd year B.Tech student in
Cochin University of Science and Technology.
