BEGINNINGS
Mathai Jacob was born from a Marthomite family in Kundra, as the fourth son of Late Mr. Thomas Mathai, a businessman by profession and Late Mrs. Sosamma Mathai, a devoted housewife. He has three brothers and three sisters.
Sicily Jacob was born from a Marthomite family from Chengannur as the first daughter of Mr.T.C. Thomas an accountant of erstwhile British owned Tea Estate in Tamil Nadu and Late Thankamma Thomas who was a devout housewife. She has a sister.
Jacob married Sicily in 1979; they have two children, Jessy and Sujil. Jessy was born in Mombasa, end of 1982. She had her education from Good Shepherd International School in Ooty. She has qualified with distinction in B.E. (Computer science) from Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT) in Coimbatore and M.S. from University of Bristol, UK and presently working with a reputed IT company in London, UK.
Sujil was born in Lagos, in middle of 1987. He had his education from Good Shepherd International School in Ooty. He is currently pursuing Medicine from one of the oldest and renowned Medical University in Europe.

PROFESSION

He started his career with a British firm in Bombay. He later joined as a Marketing Executive with an NRI group based in Nairobi in 1981 and after a while he was posted in their associate company in Lagos. Jacob later left the company to start his own venture applying his marketing skills. He is now the proud owner of “WALLACE GROUP” in Lagos, West Africa dealing with Industrial Chemicals and Solution for Weighing Applications for Multinational Companies in West Africa and Asian Countries. It had diversified systematically having own and associate offices in West Africa, London, Hong Kong, Dubai and Bombay.
Sicily
Sicily pursued her teaching profession in reputed schools in Kerala, Bombay and Kenya.
She became full time active Social Worker for less privileged people since 1982.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Jacob & his family have visited more than seventy five countries across five Continents. They had an opportunity to travel in the Supersonic Concorde Flight & world famous Ocean Cruise Queen Mary-2. They also had an opportunity to visit most of the Natural and Man made Wonders of the World and Holy Lands.
The couple had chance to meet and chat with several prominent current and former world leaders including :

The couple is associated with many charitable organizations for less privileged people in India & Africa including in Bombay for slum dwellers and in conjunction with WMC adopted Choikolly village in Vynad, Kerala & Akore village, Ogun State, Nigeria for upliftment of the poor.
Jacob was awarded from World Malayalee Council by Mr. Babu Paul IAS at WMC Global Conference in Texas, USA in 2000 and also Hind Rattan Award by the former President K.R Narayanan in 2003 for his meritorious service to humanity and Sathyan Memorial National Filim Award 2008 Business Excellence Award in 2009.
Sicily was awarded from International Women’s Society in 2005 & 2006, Garshom Pravasi Vanitha Award 2006, GIBS Award 2007 from WMC and Prestige Assurance Award 2008 in
recognition of her services, contributions and commitment to the poor.
Sicily is now 52nd President of International Women’s Society & Vice President of World Malayalee Council. She is also Joint Publicity Secretary of Indian Cultural Association & Treasurer of Indian Women’s Association. She was President of World Malayalee Women’s Forum (2002-2006), Kerala Samajam, Indian Women’s Association & former Treasurer of Small World.
The couple have various memberships, such as: Chembur Gymkhana, Ikoyi Golf Club 1938, World Malayalee Council, Global Organization People of Indian Origin, Indian Professional Forum, Indian Cultural Association, Kerala Samajam, Union Christian Fellowship, Asia Evangelist Fellowship, Full Gospel Businessmen Fellowship, Rotary Club
and other Charitable Organisation. Also Advisory Committee member for The Kerala
State Higher Education Council.
