TATA Aria: The first Indian cross over car
TATA Aria is the first cross over car of Indian make. As Tata Aria claims to be, it is the first four- wheel cross over car in the country and has all the comforts of a multi purpose vehicle and additionally the features of SUVs. Tata Aria has an assembly of features of some vehicles: Honda, Audi, Chevrolet and Mitsubishi, all worth more than Rupees 17 lakh.
The ESP facility for being safe from accidents, four- disk brakes and Adapterra, a system to uphold grip and stability are the unique traits of Tata Aria. This giant vehicle with the dimensions of 4780mm length, 1895 mm width and 1780mm height, has a seating capacity of 7. It has a tilt steering and has 6 manual gears. Tata Aria with a diesel engine has 60l fuel tank. The car will get a mileage around 14.5 kmpl on highways. The GPS Navigation system maps around 400 cities. The interior designs are done by the assistance of JLR, Tata’s European wing.
There are four variants of Tata Aria are available so far. Tata Aria prestige, having upholstery of leather are in the price range between 14.45 lakh rupees to 14.82 lakh rupees. The same with fabric upholstery ranges between 14.08 to 14.44 lakh. The price of Tata Aria pleasure is from 12.86 to 13.18 and Tata Aria pride, the costly variant will be available in 15.45 to 15.85 lakh. Each variant will be available in 8 elegant shades. The car will be available through the dealers in 25 cities initially.
As per the Tata authorities they have a plan to launch the ‘left hand drive’ version of Tata Aria by next year for Europe and Latin America. Being the fifth largest in the world Tata’s ever costly SUV, Aria will soon find a space in the roads of Asia, Europe and Latin America.
