The silver Jubilee celebrations of St George Orthodox Cathedral, Port Chester decided to raise a fund of 10 lakh rupees for the upcoming project, parumala St Gregarious Cancer care center. The decision was taken in the meeting of the celebrations, presided over by St Mar Barnabas. Many other charitable trusts and organizations here already raised a fund of around $12000. The expected cost of the project will be around 100 crore rupees. A ‘Charitable dinner night’ will be organized at white planes palace Indian palace on January 29, 2011 as part of the fund raising process.
