Kerala Catholic Bishops Council KCBC meeting selected new administrative members. Arch Bishop Mar Andrews Thazhath as the president, Arch Bishop Most Rev Dr Francis Kallara of Varappuzha selected as the Vice President. Secretary General will be Arch Bishop Thomas Mar Curilose. New heads for the KCBC commissions also be selected.

The Meeting strongly recommended ban for infectious pesticides, rechecking of Kerala’s liquor policy and higher educational policies, Conservation of the Environment and protection of Churches. As per the meetings next Catholic Council will be on June 2011.
