Teacher and News editor of Malayalam News paper Joy Lucas 67 passed away at New York. He was the elder son of Kottayan Neerikkadu Mattathipparambil M P Lucas and Annama. He was a well known scholar and writer at New York since he reached there in 1972 from the H S Mount School of Kottayam. He was the publisher of ‘Kerala Sandesham’ news paper of the Kerala Samajam at Greater New York.

Wife Uzhavoor Mudikkunnal Mary Lucas, Jibu Lucas, Tiju Lucas and Tomy Lucas are his sons. Joyce, James, Jacob, Seline are his grand children. Wake service will be on 16th and 17th of December. Funeral will be at 18th.

North America’s Indian Christian Forum President Thomas T Umman send his condolence in the death of Joy Sir, by saying that he was a great lover of the Malayalam language and did lot to empower Malayali organizations in United States.
