Trade with Kerala favourable, says Vietnamese authorities

Businessmen in Vietnam express interest in establishing commerce and trade relations with Kerala. A committee of elected representatives will be visiting Kerala shortly to hold discussions on the topic of bilateral trade relations with Kerala.

Vietnam’s interest to hold commerce and trade relations with Kerala were expressed during the summit held at Ho Chi Minh City when prominent politicians, industrialists and organizations carried out discussions on the same note. The talks to promote trade and commerce occurred during the Vietnam tour of the Indian committee led by the Minister for Industries and Commerce, Elamaram Kareem.

Both the countries are contemplating collaborative trade possibilities in the field of food processing, electricity, electronics, Ayurveda and related industries. Mutually beneficial trade relations will be cultivated between the two countries.

Indian Consul General Abhay Thakur met with the Director of Vietnam’s Investment and Trade Promotions Center, Deputy Director General of Business Relations, Chamber of Commerce Deputy General Secretary and other Vietnamese authorities to hold talks on trade promotion.
