ID cards for child pilgrims in Sabarimala get good response.
The Identity cards issued by the Travancore Devaswom Board for children in Sabarimala turns out to be a good move as it reduces missing cases of children among the pilgrims.
Missing child cases were common issue in and around the temple for the last two years. The ID cards issued by the Devaswom board are distributed from the Anjaneya auditorium near Pampa Nadapanthal. The ID cards include the details like the child’s name, guardian’s name and contact details with phone numbers. This will also help the officials of the Devaswom board to get into immediate action in case of any missing child reports.
The devotees, who were already being requested to bring proper ID proof, said that this new initiative would be helpful for the people who bring children with them to Sabarimala. The chances of missing your child in the heavy rush are high, they said.
