Community policing initiative Janamaithri flags off in Alappuzha
The community policing scheme of the government of Kerala, Janamaithri community policing scheme in the Alappuzha district commenced yesterday. The Janamaithri community policing that was inaugurated by Mr K.C.Venugopal, MP is an intensive training programme for the Police Officials intended to recover the people’s confidence in the state police.
The Janamaithri community policing scheme is sure to be a success as the intensive training programme is spread across the state, remarked the Inspector General of Police (Ernakulam range), B.Sandhya. Along with an earnest awareness provided to the police officers to prioritize the protection of the citizens as their foremost obligation, trainings like those of the Janamaithri community policing scheme can also render ample awareness to the citizens regarding their own responsibilities.
In order to overcome the upcoming trend of the development of a mutual silent agreement between the police officers and the politicians, such programmes will prove to be really helpful in regaining the police’s former standing in the public eye, opined Mr. Venugopal.
