CK Chandrappan New CPI secretary

Veteran Communist leader Veliyam Bhargavan retires from the secretary ship of CPI and a seasoned politician Chandrappan's selection was unanimous.

Though Veliyam was respected as who sacrificed to build up the Communist party, he is an impulsive communist who sometimes speak and act recklessly.Some of his decisions have been detrimental to the unity of the LDF.
