Britain’s new visa regulations prove bad news for Indian immigrants
Britain’s visa regulations revised by the Migration Advisory Committee of Britain have made the visa regulations more rigid, following the footsteps of Australia. The new visa provisions are for reducing immigrations from the non European Union countries. This comes as a bad news for the Indian students, professional and families, who need the visa to migrate to Britain. Australia also revised its visa rules by reforming its ‘General Skilled Migration Points Test’, which will come in to effect on July 1st of next year.
Initially the goal of the new visa provisions in Britain is to cut the immigration level by 13 to 25 percentages for the next year. But as per the sources this is only 20% of the actual target of the British government. The remaining will be achieved by making rigid visa regulations for students and families out of the European Union.
As per Damien Green immigration minister of Britain, reducing immigration rate will not be very easy, going by one particular group of immigrants. So there will be visa restrictions on all categories of migrants.
A wide spread opposition has already risen against these new visa constraints especially from the business world of Britain. According to them, the companies would not be able to recruit the best talents from around the globe and this will affect their competence in the global market. The top educational Institutions from many countries expressed their dissatisfaction on Britain’s move. They also added that this will adversely affect the trade and business relations between Britain and Non European countries. The campaigns have already started in Britain against these new visa regulations of the immigration ministry.
