A move to unleash the cyber intricacies

“Blogging is not going to die”, as the young internet wizard Alexandru Ion from Romania reassured the budding journalists of the day, it was an enlightenment. He was having an interactive session with them today afternoon, at a half day workshop organized by the Alumni of the Department of Communication and Journalism, University of Kerala on “Blogging in a Tech driven World”.

A blogger and businessman by profession, Alexandru Ion owns a number of popular websites like the devicemag.com and greenpacks.org. Answering to the queries of the students, he strode through almost all the aspects of the blogging scenario today. The vibrant discussion that was flagged off with a curious professor’s question, “as is found in a recent study, is blogging going to die soon?”, covered almost all major contemporary issues of concern in the cyber world. Emphasizing on the significant role played by the social networking sites like facebook, he even talked on how an intelligent use of such sites can enhance the readability of blogs.

With an extensive talk on social marketing of the media, its monetary possibilities, the search engine optimization and the parameters of superior quality content in blogs, the session was jam packed with information. Inspiring the young students on how to create a high hit making blog with consistent traffic, he explained the crucial role blogging plays in today’s youth expression. Apart from the students, Journalism professors and eminent media persons also attended the function.
