Hay Festival Trivandrum 2010 Bigwigs sign off Green Signs Campaign

Bigwigs endorse their signatures on four canvases to initiate Green Signs environment conservation campaign, in the literary event The Week Hay Festival, Trivandrum. This endorsement act of the Green Signs initiative, will invoke a two month campaign on environmental awareness.

The canvas has been prepared by enlarging the photographs taken by the famous nature and wildlife photographer, Balan Madhavan. At 10.45 am, the initial canvas was signed by the renowned director, Adoor Gopalakrishnan. Going forward, PadmashRI Mamootty, Sugathakumari and prominent others will follow in act. The canvas will be exhibited at Kanakakunnu Palace, Trivandrum till Sunday. After collecting all the signatures, the canvas is planned to be presented to the Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan.

Hay Festival Trivandrum: India-Wales writers Chain formed

Trivandrum Hay Festival at Kanakakunnu Palace forms the venue for the historical event where a chain of eminent writers in Wales and India collaborate to form a platform for the exchange of innovation and ideas. British Council is the brain behind this initiative and is executed with the cooperation of Wales Art International.
