V M Sudheeran leads the crusade against ENDOSULFAN
Congress Leader V M Sudheeran organised the united front to fight for the ban of endosulfan in the country.
He was able to bring political parties, religious leaders, environmentalists and the public under one banner in Trivandrum yesterday.
Pannyan Raveendran,Trivandrum Bishop Susapakyam,Palayam Moulavi and Sugathakumari all joined hands and took oath to fight for the ban of the killer insecticide.
The media extensively reported the the death of children and adults alike.Many have become handicapped and life has become a torture for the people of Kasargode district.
Sudheeran said that an all party delegation will meet the Prime Minister and ask for the ban endosulfan.He continued that this insecticide is strictly forbidden in 73 countries in the world.
The people's front have decided to collect the signatures of one hundred thousand people to submit the memorandum to the government of India.
Central Minister Jayaram Ramesh was compelled to address the press in Delhi to alleviate the fears and promised that he would visit Kasargode soon.
