Suresh Gopi seconds statement made by Thilakan
Malayalam actor Suresh Gopi said that while he agrees with the statement that Thilakan has made, it was unnecessary for him to have gone public with the same. Suresh Gopi was speaking at an interview session with Kannur Press Club.
Associations should work towards the welfare of its members. It should not try to inhibit or condone its members, said the actor. Its rules should be equally applicable to all its members and the environment in the association should be homely, he said. Gopi was referring to AMMA’s conference in 2004 where he was criticized for publicly backing actor Mohanlal.
Suresh Gopi went on to say that he personally does not find anything wrong with the inauguration of Pappinisseri Kandal park. As a student of biology he feels that the park does not support any activities that will destroy the balance of nature. He said that he does not wish to comment further since the matter is being debated by the Supreme Court.
The actor has stated that a lack of ideas is what is haunting the film industry these days. He stated that the reason why some of his movies were box-office failures could be traced to some mistakes in his selection of cinema.
