Pallipuram is getting ready to make a milestone on January with the infopark that is going to be launched. As the first phase of the project is nearing completion, the infopark at Pallipuram, Cherthala soon gets underway for commissioning.

The project that was long facing the land acquisition issue of three families and the work held up, with the intervention of District Collector P.Venugopal has brought an end to this issue and the work has resumed. The 66 acres of land assigned for the Infopark was acquired after vacating about 160 families by providing them 10 cents each at different locations. Yet, three families who refused to accept the proposition was the stumbling impediment which was preventing the work to proceed. This review meeting convened by the District Collector has finally ended up the issue with the reluctant families.

With about 2.5 million sq ft built area, the infopark here, is expected to provide job opportunities for more than 2O,OOO people. The Rs 1000 crore project situated just 10 km away from the National Highway- 47 is sure to succeed as another landmark achievement of the Kerala Government.
