The DMK Rajyasabha Member and Karunanidhi’s daughter Kanimozhi met the "public relations" minister Pranab Kumar Mukherji yesterday and conveyed the diktat of the DMK Supremo that Telecom Minister A.Raja should not be asked to step down from the cabinet.

Raja is alleged to have involved in the biggest scam independent India has seen. The 2G scam runs to thousands of crores.

Kanimozhi, you are young, free from the dirty, corrupt practices of the elders. Be bold to have guts to tell your Father that it is the people's money and not Raja’s. Let us have some morality in politics. You know that the Parliament is stalled for two days. The entire world is watching in shock as to what the Government is going to do about the scam.

Our dear Kanimozhi, rise to the occasion, rise to people's expectations and defy your father. We know that all of us are taught to obey our parents. But you have common sense and the power of discretion. On certain occasions we need to defy our parents, but let us do it creatively, let us do it for a cause, let us do it to save the nation.
