With the first screening of the15th IFFK just over, scores of delegates watched the movie, “Cameroon’s Love Letter” at Kalabhavan. More than the movie itself, the crowd was greatly fascinated by the signature film of this year.

The signature film titled “Dreams” is an animated short clip which was created by the Toonz Animation at Technopark. The 36 second video has won the heart of the delegates in the first screening itself. The signature film serves as the very face of 15th IFFK. With its repeated screenings before every show in all the venues, more hilarious applauses wait for this small animated video.

The clip starts off from a beautifully lit dreamy pond with all the lovely illuminated sea creatures. A gorgeous kaleidoscopic view into the world of imagination soon follows with little winged pandas, hornbills and butterflies. The dazzling wings finally ending up in a glittering and colourful logo of Lakalekshmi. The crow pheasant soon joins to announce the “15th International Film Festival of Kerala”.

It has been a routine that the IFFK signature film always receives extreme boos from all theatres, even in its repeated screenings. It’s been almost the first time that the delegates have received the signature film with such great enthusiasm. Susan, a 4th time IFFK delegate is all praise for “Dreams”, “It’s really a lovely video clip, I am very much looking forward to see it again and again in all the screenings, kudos to the Toonz. It’s one of the best signature films of IFFK, and a big reason for the Chalachitra Academy to be proud of, in the first screening itself”.
