A window from Japan in IFFK
The 15th edition of IFFK will provide a venue for the film maniacs to look at the Japanese colour of life. Japan, the land of Kabuki, has got a great tradition in the art of making films. The successors of Akira Kurasowa are successful in keeping intact the rich legacy of film making.
Five centimenters per second
8 classical films and 12 Manga films are included in the Japanese genre. Manga films are a unique blend of caricatures and cartoons. The Manga films evolution can be traced back to the post second world era. The duration of Manga varies from 5 to 94 minutes. Love, devotion, adventure, fiction and enigma; Manga films leave virtually no topic untouched. They can be considered as a Japanese counterpart of Disney animations.

Chibi makuro chan(Manga)
The Manga section mostly comprises of animation films. On screen they will illuminate the vibrancy and colour of Japanese culture. The list includes Manga films like “Five centimeter per second, Tarzan, Room and Ski jumping Paris”.

Boiling point
The classical Japanese film section includes the films of distinguished Japanese masters like Mizoguchi Kenji, Kobayashi Masaki and Kitana takeshi.The main films in this category are The story of last Chrysanthamum, The grand master, Boiling point and Human condition part1and II.
