15th IFFK commences at Trivandrum: First screening at Kalabhavan


The 15th International Festival took off this morning at 9 am with the first film screened at Kalabhavan theatre. “Cameroon Love letter” is the opening film of the festival. The inaugural film, “Please Don’t Disturb” will be screened later this evening at the inaugural ceremony which will be conducted at the Nishagandhi open auditorium.

“Little Rose” will be the first film screened at Kairali by 11 30 and Memories of a Burning Tree at 11 45 in Shree. The screening at New theatre, Sree vishakha and Sree Padmanabha begins only by 2 45 in the afternoon with the film “Of love and other demons”, “Blood Wedding” and “The Sicilian Girl” respectively. While the film screenings at Sreekumar and Dhanya begins by 2 30 with the films “Love is Colder than Death” and “When We Leave”.

Today, all the theatres will close the screening by five, after which the inauguration ceremony of the 15th IFFK will flag off at the Nishagandhi Auditorium, which will be inaugurated by Ms Waheeda Rehman. The highly renowned film maker, Werner Herzog will be felicitated on the occasion.
